Dr. Tamara Gutierrez is a native to Las Vegas, Nevada. She graduated from University of Nevada, Las Vegas with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. Dr. Gutierrez then furthered her education at Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN. She completed externships at Mike O’Callahan Hospital at Nellis Air Force Base and Total Eye Care - a clinic specializing in glaucoma in Memphis, TN. She was actively involved in SVOSH (Students Volunteering Optometric Services to Humanity) and she helped serve the underprivileged in Costa Rica.

After graduating from optometry school in 2003, Dr. Gutierrez returned to her home in Las Vegas to serve her community. She developed her skills at two busy optometric practices in Las Vegas, and she has experienced the commercial and private sides of optometry. It was her experience working for a private practice that fueled her desire to open her own office.

Dr. Gutierrez opened Elite Eye Care in January 2008. It is her commitment to the community to provide excellence in every aspect of eye care by offering the latest in high tech diagnostic equipment, a large inventory of fashionable eyewear, high quality contact lenses and a highly trained staff. She believes it is important that you fully understand your visual condition and that all your questions are thoroughly answered.
